The Taylor County School District School Board is committed to protecting its students and employees from bullying, harassment, or discrimination for any reason and of any type. The school board believes that all students and staff are entitled to a sage, equitable, and harassment-free school experience. Bullying, harassment, or discrimination will not be tolerated and shall be just cause for disciplinary action. This policy shall be applied consistently with all applicable state and federal laws and the board's collective bargaining agreement.
The standards of the bullying policy constitute a focused, coordinated, culturally sensitive system of supports for all students, staff, and families that improves relations within each school. It is designed to ensure that every school has staff that have been trained and are supported in their school's efforts to provide awareness, intervention, and instructional strategies on prevention to each staff, parent, and student in our District and to follow up when incidents are reported.
